Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR therapy has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress (EMDRIA.org). Lesa Swanson has been practicing EMDR Therapy since 2007 and has since become Certified and an Approved Consultant through EMDR Interational Association. Click below for a video about EMDR Therapy.

Biofeedback is a two part process. First, individuals gain awareness of their physiological functioning by seeing it displayed to them in real time. Examples include: heat rate, muscle tension, skin temperature and skin conductance. Second, they learn to regulate their own unconscious bodily processes, and as a result, gain better control of their stress responses. It can help with: stress reduction, chronic pain, anxiety, high blood pressure, ADHD, Raynaud's disease, peak performance, migraines, gastrointestinal problems, unconscious teeth grinding, and more. Additional information can be found on the Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback, Inc. website at: https://www.aapb.org
